Be flexible, if possible
If your calendar allows, consider periods just before or after high season. June, September and evenApril, May and October offer a wonderful atmosphere, often with more choice and less traffic.
Think about your transport... but not too soon
Ferry reservations generally open in the fall, for the following year’s summer season. To be informed as soon as reservations open, it is advisable to sign up for CTMA alerts.
For air travelers, tickets are generally available around 11 months in advance. The same often applies to car rentals.
